Sania Liska

Sana Schönle grew up in a small half-timbered village on the Danube River in southern Germany.

Dina Velikovskaja grew up 2,400 kilometers away in a large city on the Moskva River.

By the age of eleven, both knew they wanted to study art. Since their teachers weren't exactly thrilled about them drawing in class, they spent their afternoons painting and model making instead.

While Sana studied at the Kassel School of Art and Design, Dina first completed a degree at the State University of Cinematography (WGIK) and later at the SHAR High Animation School.

Their paths crossed in 2016 in Berlin, where they met at the animation collective Torp.
As Sania Liska, the two create sculptural illustrations that combine their shared passion for model making and expressive character design.
